How To Configure DMARC In DreamHost
This guide will help you add a Skysnag DMARC CNAME record to your domain using DreamHost as your DNS provider. Once the setup is complete, Skysnag will automatically manage your DMARC policies and enhance your email security.

Step 1: Log in to Your DreamHost Account
- Go to the DreamHost website.
- Log in using your account credentials.
- Once logged in, navigate to the Domains section of your DreamHost panel.
Step 2: Access the DNS Management Section
- From the Domains section, click on Manage Domains.

- Scroll down to the Add a Custom DNS Record section.
- In the form, enter the following details:

{your-domain-name}.protect._d.skysnag.com
. Replace{your-domain-name}
with your actual domain name, e.g.,example.com.protect._d.skysnag.com
. - TTL: You can leave this as Default or choose the lowest option for faster propagation.
- Click Add Record to save the new CNAME record.
Step 4: Wait for DNS Propagation
- After saving the record, allow some time for DNS propagation. This can take anywhere from a few minutes up to 24 hours.
Step 5: Verify the Skysnag CNAME Record
- Log in to your Skysnag dashboard.
- Navigate to the domain where you added the CNAME record.
- Click the Verify button to confirm that the Skysnag DMARC CNAME record is configured properly.
- Once verified, Skysnag will automatically manage your DMARC policies and begin generating email security reports.

- Record Not Propagating? Ensure the CNAME record is correctly entered and allow up to 24 hours for full DNS propagation.
